Welcome! to I Love Tunics - An Australian owned & operated business. Our story began many moons ago in Melbourne with the idea of importing tunics tops & kaftan style tunics from India and selling them at markets. Over the next few years we did various markets and after getting some great feedback from our beautiful ladies we decided to design & manufacture womens tunic dresses & tops based on customers feedback & suggestions, laying emphasis on longer tunic tops to wear with leggings
In 2007 we launched our own label ilovetunics and started to sell tunic tops & tunic dresses made from natural fabrics including plus sizes and focusing on mature womens clothing. Over the next couple of years we participated in various trade shows and started to supply to many ladies fashion boutiques Australia wide. As a large percentage of our business came from sunny Queensland so we decided to relocate to the beautiful Gold Coast & opened a ladies boutique in Coolangatta
Opening a boutique allowed us to expand our collection and we took on some well known fashion labels such as Threadz, Clarity, Cordelia St, Motto, Whispers & David Jessie that complimented our range and offered an extended range of tunic style tops to our lovely ladies. Over the years we did 3 shops in Gold Coast & Tweed Heads, however when our lease came to an end in 2015 and we decided to concentrate on our online fashion shop and have been working very hard to become a preferred womens clothing online destination for ladies tops along with complimenting basics, leggings, pants, jewellery and footwear to offer a complete fashion set
We've been asked why tunics? We ask back why not! - Tunic is one of the most versatile garment that you can invest into. Tunics are feminine, stylish and can be worn during the day or evening, worn casually or dressed up for an evening out. They are perfect for layering & look great matched with shorts, leggings, pants or even worn over swimwear. Made from comfortable fabrics they are perfect for covering the troublesome areas and can be worn stylishly by young & mature women from petite to plus sizes
Some patterns of tunics may have changed over the years but as Yves Saint-Laurent said "Fashions fade, style is eternal"
